Collared Lizard by Louise Moises

Updated: Jan 23, 2023

Collared Lizard

Collared lizard too boldly decorative

for camouflage, stares at the sun,

splayed toes on red rocks,

green and yellow neck pulses

in dry desert heat.

I marvel at nature’s creativity.
