GUIDELINES

​

Art for our upcoming Print/Electronic Issues, Poetry Chapbook, Anthology, and our website.

Submission Fee: $6.00

 

General Guidelines:

Submit in one Word file the commentary of your art (up to one page of what it means, why have you created it, etc.) along with up to 5 art pieces (including photography). Please format your submission double-spaced. In the top header please add the title(s) and last name of the artist.

 

In the cover letter (or if you are submitting via email, in the body of your email include): Confirm that these pieces are unpublished. If your piece is published, please let us know and provide the name of the journal or magazine and the time of first publication so we can give proper credit. Also, include a short 3rd person bio and contact information.

If you wish, you can submit multiple times in separate submissions. Simultaneous submissions are allowed on the individual poems, but please notify us if any of the unpublished poems were accepted elsewhere and provide us with the information.

Unlimited Literature - Flash Fiction OR Poetry

Submission Fee: $5.00

 

General Guidelines:

Submit one published or unpublished flash fiction story, a maximum of 750 words or up to 3 poems in one file, a maximum of 8 pages.

 

Please format your submission double-spaced and include a word count. In the top header please add the title(s) and page numbers. 

 

Include a cover sheet in your document with your name, address, and contact information (e-mail) but no identifying information on the story itself.

 

In the cover letter: Confirm that this piece is unpublished or if it has been previously published, please include the information (name of journal or magazine and date of first publication) so we can properly credit the publisher.

 

Feedback: (for an additional $8 submit via Flash Fiction OR Poetry with Feedback)

Selecting the feedback option for your submission does not guarantee your submission will be selected for publication online, but it does guarantee a summary of insights and recommendations on your work. Specifically, feedback will include consideration of the following:

 

  • How does the narrative engage the reader?

  • What are the narrative’s strengths?

  • What are the narrative's weaknesses?

  • How is the technical aspect of the writing?
     

If you wish, you can submit multiple times in separate submissions.

Creative Nonfiction Essay

Submission Fee: $6.00

 

General Guidelines:

Submit one unpublished creative nonfiction essay, a maximum of 1000 words.  

Please format your submission double-spaced and include a word count. In the top header please add the title and page numbers. 

Include a cover sheet in your document with your name, address, and contact information (e-mail) but no identifying information on the story itself.

 

In the cover letter: Confirm that this piece is unpublished or if it has been previously published, please include the information (name of journal or magazine and date of first publication) so we can properly credit the publisher.

 

Feedback: (for $35 submit up to 3,500-word essay via email Word attachment to Critiques.Feedback@gmail.com after making the payment via PayPal to same email.)

  • What is the premise/theme of the narrative? 

  • How does the narrative engage the reader? 

  • Is the premise/theme developed to the fullest extent?

  • Does the tone and mood enhance the narrative? Detract from it? 

  • What are the narrative’s strengths?

  • What are the narrative's weaknesses?

  • How is the technical aspect of the writing?
