From Here
The birds tell insomnia to sing all night
Right in my ear, a personal window to my soul
I press the button and let go of time
Its new age blinking red, the coffin to a big surprise as the train heads in.
I can change time because it is not real, but the red light is.
I did not like where the new science
Was going
Something was off
I asked to pray and could not kneel
I asked to listen but there were those birds
All into the night small papers fell from my desk
I was alone
And did not know it
Where will I go from here
Into this day of ash
An alarm pointing the way.
